1:05: forgot to mention, was told yesterday that there will be new announcements made today… wonder what they’re going to be?

1:06: The anime industry is on its way back to recovery and Funimation has adjusted accordingly with box sets, video downloads, simulcasts, etc.

1:08: Funimation will be releasing 17% more titles this year than they did last year.

1:24: Case Closed Season 5 available May 12th; this is the last of Funimation’s contract. No word on when more will be released.

1:25: Murder Princess Complete Series; Available May 12th; MSRP 39.98

1:27: Shin chan season 2, Part 2 available May 12th

1:30: Romeo x Juliet Box Set 1 (Juliet Collection); available June 23rd; MSRP 59.98: the series will have literal translations plus original Shakespeare in the dub script though the story is slightly different in its retelling from the original play.

1:34: Kaze no Stigma Box Set 1 available June 30th

1:35: One Piece Season 2, Part 1 (Eps 54-66); Available June 30th; MSRP 49.98.

Case Closed and One Piece streams: rights are just now available at the moment but maybe someday.

air gear re-release: maybe

Funimation dominating the industry: Funimation is really working hard about pushing certain titles, so many shows per title, not dubbing everything, etc and making sure that the market isn’t being oversaturated again.

Gunslinger Girl will be available later this year, probably in the fall.

Funimation Channel: Hopefully will be on Comcast at some point within the next year or two.

Pay per downloads will eventually be available on sites other than the Funimation site but not sure when.

How does Funi decide which titles to license: relationships, rights and how well they can diversify.

Funimation doesn’t have Kiddy Grade 2 but they want it.

Slayers Revolution hasn’t been dubbed yet but they want to get the original cast together first if possible, the same with Eva 1.0
