Trailer Roundup - Cat Shit Zero, Blood, Polyphonica
It’s been an interesting twenty four hours for trailers with one 3D cg animation and a live action trailer coming in last night.
The first trailer is for the upcoming series ‘Cat Shit Zero’. Based on the manga of the same name, this series tells a graphic war story with all of the character being represented by cute and fuzzy animals. The series is being produced by Studio Anima though no funding has been secured so this is not a sure bet. I’ve already read some that some other bloggers and reviewers aren’t quite sold on this series yet but for some reason I find myself deeply intrigued if not a little creeped out. The trailer is three minutes long though the first minute or so is just a text introduction.
The second trailer to get released was the latest trailer for the upcoming ‘Blood: The Last Vampire’. The good news about this release is that it appears like Samuel Goldwyn has submitted the film for a rating from the MPAA. This does mean that fans should probably expect a US release date to be announced sometime within the next couple of months. The bad news is that the more I learn about the story and characters from this film, the more I dread the idea of hearing fans tear it apart for not following the story closer (it was a fair point for Dragonball and it’s a fair point for Blood though not nearly as prominent of one).
Finally, the latest trailer for the upcoming series ‘Polyphonica Crimson S’ has been released to the official website. The series is a sequel of the original Polyphonica in which music sprites are controlled by masters with magic flutes (you can make up your own jokes about flutes being blown here). The second season will feature a new character along with his sprite and premieres April 4th.
