Partial List of Third Annual Seiyuu Awards Winners Posted
The winners of the third annual ‘Seiyuu Awards’ will be announced on Saturday via Newtype magazine in Japan but a partial list of winners was posted this morning. The awards have been held for the last two years and honors seiyuu for performances throughout the previous year but doesn’t nominate them by role or title so I’ve listed a couple of their better known performances from last year:
Best Lead Actor: Hiroshi Kamiya (Takashi Natsume in ‘Natsume Yujin-cho’)
Best Lead Actress: Rie Kugimiya (Yuuhi Katagiri in ‘Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka, Toko Matsudaira in ‘Maria-sama ni ga Miteru’)
Best Supporting Actor: Kazuhiko Inoue (Nyanko-san in ‘Natsume Yujin-cho’)
Tomokazu Sugita (To no Chujo in ‘Genji Monogatari Sennenki’, Reiji in ‘Kodomo no Jikan’, Aureolus Izzard in ‘To aru Majutsu no Index’)
Best Supporting Actress: Aya Endo (Itsuki Kannagi in ‘Sora Kake Girl’)
Miyuki Sawashiro (Tsugumi Aoba in ‘Kannagi’, God in ‘Maria Holic’, Jun Sasada in ‘Natsume Yujin-cho’)
Best New Actor: Nobuhiko Okamoto (Yoichi Karasuma in ‘Asu no Yoichi’, Accelerator in ‘To aru Majutsu no Index’)
Yuuki Kaji (Finny in ‘Kuroshitsuji’, Akina Hiizumi in ‘Yozakura Quartet’)
Best New Actress: Kana Asumi (Hyouka Kazakiri in ‘To aru Majutsu no Index’, Sakura Kano in ‘Toradora’)
Haruka Tomatsu (Ayame Ikaruga in ‘Asu no Yoichi’, Nagi in ‘Kannagi’, Mana Mizuki in ‘White Album’)
Best Singing: Megumi Nakajima (Macross Frontier)
Best Personality: Jun Fukuyama (LeLouch in ‘Code Geass’, Kakeru Daichi in ‘Akikan’, Leopard in ‘Sora Kake Girl’)
Other awards that still don’t have winners attached to them include the first category which was voted on by fans overseas (i.e. us) so check back on Saturday when the full list will be posted.
