I’m keeping this one in the rumor column for now just in case but ANN is reporting that an anime for the ‘Needless’ manga series by Kami Imai may be in the works which was reportedly leaked from a survey on consumer awareness. The action comedy series takes place in a post WWIII Japan where certain spots have deemed polluted ‘Black Spots’ which are quarantined off from the rest of Japan. Within these spots are settlements with people who have developed powers. The name for the people living within the ‘black spots’ are called ‘Needless’.

So, take this for what you will. I’ll keep everyone posted of any further details that I find.

@Jura: That seems to be the popular opinion going around about this rumor as well. Haven’t read the manga myself but I might just go out and take a look at it.

Yeah. The manga’s not particularly creative but it makes up for being hilariously exaggerated even compared to most shounen manga i’ve read :P Normal shounen heroes would have died if they went through what the main character went through in the later stages of the manga -sweatdrops- And the gratuitous fanservice is there too - panty and breast shots, groping, and lolis. Not quite sure how they’re going to do the anime but I’ll wait and see myself XD
